SkinVive Post-Procedure Instructions

Congratulations! You are on your way to that fresh new look you wanted. Just remember, there can be a few bumps or bruises along the way.  Here are some instructions to help understand the process and resolve this as fast as possible:

1.  Ice on and off the areas injected for the first couple of days. Icing for 10 minutes 3-5 times daily may help with swelling and bruising. Be careful, it’s not too cold, we don’t want to cause a burn to the skin.

2.  Pain at injection sites is completely normal. I would advise Motrin (Ibuprofen) or Tylenol (Acetaminophen) unless you are allergic.

3.  Redness, itching, or welts: Benadryl or other over-the-counter antihistamine will be helpful.

4.  Lumps and Bumps: Yes, these are annoying, but let them settle. You will be surprised how fast these can go away. If you massage too early or too much, you may change the outcome of your filler. Please text or call if any questions.

5.  Sleep on your back if you had treatment on your cheeks. This is hard, but if you fall asleep on your face, you may cause swelling or movement of the product. Just try to do your best!

6.  Direct sun exposure should be limited for a few days. Remember to always wear your sunblock!

7.  No working out for the day.

8.  Results: Please give the injection and your body time to do its job. I always try my best to guide you to obtain the results you want with realistic expectations.

9. If you have pain out of proportion, skin color that changes to a grayish tinge, or any other urgent concerns, please call (626)889-7887 immediately. If you have a life-threatening emergency, please call 911.
